Preggy Mrs Platy!

My pregnant platy has an enormous gravid spot but she isnt very fat!?So i have move her into a net breeder in the side of my aquarium,but is this a good idea i mean she may only be a few weeks pregnant

My platies when pregnant only really get fat the week that they are due to give birth....its hard to describe what to look for....she hides a lot...spends a lot of time at the bottom of the tank and gets grumpy towards the other fish...also I notice that her vent will appear to 'open'...something you get used to looking for when you have preggo platies and want to keep fry.

She should go in the breeding net a few days before she is due to give birth
