Its been about 4 weeks since her last batch. she is quite big now. and the male is starting to follow and nip at her. is this the sign that i should put her in teh breeding net? or should i wait a tad longer.

If the male is trying to nip at her, he's probably trying to stress her into having the fry so he can eat them. That's what they usually do. You could seperate her if you want. However I would not put her in a breeder net. Mollies are really too big for those, and they can really stress them out. You don't want her aborting fry or getting sick. The best bet is to just leave her in the tank to give birth, or get a decent sized fry tank. If you just leave her in the main tank, some fry should survive if you have lots of plants. I found 5 Platy fry just last night hiding on a lily.

yeah. i didnt want to leave here in there. but i also want to save as many fry as possible as i am not doing the SOF routine. i have a really good deal going with the lfs for mollies. more mollies, more $$/credit. hehe

i tried the SOF with my black mollie and lost all of them. but i still have every one of the fry from the time i netted them. i have a post a while back about it.

Then let her give birth in the tank, and net and raise the fry in the breeder net. That's probably your best bet. :)

Don't let the money/credit get in the way of your fish being healthy. If you put her in the net, she'll get stressed, which will make her more prone to disease and also give her a shorter lifespan. :/
