Pre-purchase Research - Octopus Skimmers

Hey there,

I have these two skimmers available to me: DNW-110 and NW-110. I didn't notice the different models in my LFS, so I didn't get a chance to ask about the differences.

I understand that the DNW-110 needs a feeder pump, but can anyone offer advice as to the actual operating efficiency and skimming performance of each model?

Any help would be much appreciated.

The recirc is generally more effective and weakable than the "standard" model. Either way, Octopus makes a fantasic skimmer, you won't be dissapointed.

Hmmm, this is getting a little scary... it seems that on every bit of hardware I need, I am convinced to spend that extra $100 on something a bit better... things are adding up! Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.
