As we digest the sad news that the PFK forum may well be closing in the near future, I'd just like to extend a very warm welcome to any members that find themselves here.

The quality of advice at PFK has generally been of the very highest standard, and we at TFF hope that some of you might find a new home here, and be able to continue passing on your wisdom and experience of the hobby.

pfk forum is closing? That's sad to hear. I've never been a member but even so ...

I would second your comments though ... it would be good to have even more knowledgeable members ... bring it on :D

Really

PFK forum is closing, never would have figured that to happen anytime soon. Darn. That is a shame.

But we could certainly welcome any new members

Whats PFK forum?

Practical Fishkeeping is a UK based magazine, similar to the USA's Tropical Fish Hobbyist. It has a very good website, which has included a forum for many years.

Apparently the publishers have decided that it doesn't want to pay for the servers for the forum any more; partly as they're migrating to a new site, I believe.

Practical Fish Keeping.

A very well known and established fishkeeping magazine (and website) with good writers, Nathan Hill, Neale Monks and George Farmer etc etc

Their knowledge of pretty much everything fishkeeping is well respected.

Thanks both of you! I just purchased a 2 year subscription for the USA equivelant.

I can only echo the sentiments of those above - a very informative place and sad to see it go.

Hopefully we'll see some PFK people here...if you aren't already ;)
