Powerheads and Filters

Anyone got some good information on powerheads and filters? Maybe a link to an article, or maybe just knowledgeable.

I'm looking to use a powerhead to create a water current and filter the water.

What sort of info are you looking for? Powerheads are pretty simple, they move water about the tank and some have attachments for them to polish the water but they dont replace a filter. Just get the one that suits the your tank size and inhabitants best, ie not one that does 1200 litres per hour in a 20g tank, i find one that does twice the tank volume per hour works well but for fish that like more current you could up this. The Eheim aquaball powerheads are quite good for smaller tanks, they have a flow rate of 600 litres a hour and can be used with the aquaclear water polishing cartridge.
