Powerhead?

i have this powerhead... how the hell do i use it? it was used on a under gravel filter but i cant use it anymore as it just sucks up my sand. how do i use it to place in my rock work to create a strong current?

yeah i figured that lol but it doesnt pump out hardly any water at all. am i meant to connect it to something?

No need to attach anything, just make sure its turned to max setting (if it can be adjusted that is) If its not kicking out much water it might have had it. I have seen better powrheads to be honest, you might find that you would need much more flow that that one could provide.

old undergravel filters didnt have much flow through them anyway. Chances are its blocket with something too.

I would reccoment you buy a koralia 1 or something. You'll get change from £20 and get much better and wider flow. They look nicer. Come with a magent to hold it to the tank. and it will do 1500LPH

Take off the bit that attached it to the undergravel filter (the black bit at the bottom pulls off) and clean out the impeller and it should be a lot better.

Not the most efficient powerhead, but they are reliable and since you already have it and were running it previously you may as well try it out first just to see if it's enough.
