This happened about 1 1/2 years ago...but just joined this forum...so i just wanted to share this story. I just bought 2 baby silver scats for my 40 gallon tank. (I just started this tank) I had a powerhead goin without a sponge, which was dumb..but i didnt knoe back then...then my lil cousin that i was baby sitting and yellin at me that one of the scats got stuck in the powerhead. 
I thought he was a gonner, cause he was only about a size of a nickle or so. So, i quickly pulled the plug of the powerhead and saw him just fallen to the bottom. The whole side of him was inflamed and everything 
SO sadly I put him in my betta container and had that floating in the big tank and changed the water everday for oxygen. Well, a year and half later he is as healthy as can be. And now about 3 1/2 in. in diameter
*side note: This was before the nemo movie came out. So when i watched the movie, i had a really bad flash back to this ordeal.
