I have got my ten gallon tanks set up, and the four powerheads (two for each) I ordered for them form DFS (micro-jet 450's) just arrived. Where should I place the powerheads in relation to each other? Across from each other on each side? should I off-set them? one on a side and one on a back? Anyone want to chime in with suggestions? Im open to them, infact, I would welcome them.

I would aim for 2 powerheads in the back corners of hte tank facing the center glass.
This will create turbulance instead of flow which is what i prefer to see.
If you can get 2 Hydor Rotating heads then i recomend that you place them on the powerheads and thus create true turbulance in the tank.

do you know if those will fit on the micro 450's? I was looking at it in the DFS catalog and the rotating head itself is bigger than the powerheads. LOL. They do have sufficent flow, I just wonder if they would fit?

sadly i dont know if they will fit. they are indeed large and as an after thought they might look a little odd in a small system (sorry im used to workin g on larger tanks :*) ).
Is it possible to take your powerhead to a shop that stocks these and ask to see if they will fit or not.

The HydorFlo's come with multiple adapters. If you measure your outflow diameter on the PH, I will check the insert for you and let you know. SH
