Well my 90 gallon tank is being setup and ther eis one pleco in it so far

in the next few weeks, an oscar and some clown loaches will be added in there

there is currently only the filter that offers agitation in there at 350 gph. i was thinking a 350gph powerhead might help out as well to create more current as i read clown loaches like this.

i doubt the pleco would mind but what about the oscar?

Oscars are real pigs, needing tons of filtration to do well. That double or triple filtration is going to create a good amount of current, they must be ok with it. I would put it towards the bottom, it will help keep it clean.

You may as well spend the money on more filtration, which will get the water moving at the same time - you're going to need more then a 350gp filter to keep this sucker clean.

i know about the filter issue.

but right now there is only the pleco in there. i was planning on getting an aquaclear 110 or maybe another canister on there... we'll be getting a tiny oscar as well so i was holding out to buying a filter for the time being... wait maybe 2 months or so

i guess i will get the powerhead with a pre-filter soon. that will help for now

Whenever I toss a powerhead in, I rig it up like this;

Keeps the bottom nice & clean, easy to see when it need maintainance.

that's basically a homemade quickfilter attachment!

I'll add it to the powerhead

that's might be a bit much for my tank...
