how many lph should i be looking at for a 240l tank. i want it too just help water flow, i dont really want the fish struggaling against it

What do you want to boost flow for? Plants? Stream fish? Your application chooses the required flow

Or better still a Tunze Nanostream

Anyhow, as truck has covered, you are looking for about 10X an hour with in-direct flow, so a propeller type pump would be what you are after. Many cheap Ebay knock-offs are un-reliable bits of kit, but SunSun seam OK apparently...

Iv got a 125L tank and i use the Hydor nano 900LPH and the hydor 1 1500LPh
i did by the tunze nanostream 2500LPH but it blows my tank to bits, but would be spot on for a 240L IMO
my tunze nanostream is just sat in its box waiting for a bigger tank
