So, I have 2 betta tanks. My family just told me there's a scheduled power outage today. Its cold and rainy out so it'll be cold in my house. Power will be out 2 hours before I can do anything and will stay off a good 8-10hours. How can I keep them warm? Right now their tanks are a nice 76 degrees. I'm leavin in 5 mins. ShoUld I unplug all their stuff just in case?? How do I keep them warm?

Wrap them up in towels is the only way I can think of I'm not sure if the bacteria in the filter will start to die off in that amount of time

I covered them with blankets completely. Should I be concerned about the filter??

We had a planned power outage for 8 hours last week, and the filters on all four of my tanks were fine. I didn't feed the fish the day before or the day itself (I know you can't not feed yesterday but don't feed tonight) and checked all my stats that night and the following 2 days, and they were all fine.
Luckily it was very mild for January last Wednesday, we had the gas fire on in the lounge and the temp in that tank dropped to 23C (we don't like the room too warm). We also had the central heating on full blast till the electricity went, and the three tanks in the kitchen dropped to 21C. The fish have all been fine.
