My tank is cycled and will have my fish tomorrow. We had a hurricane here and power went out twice for 12+ hours at a time. I let the bio wheels and filter pads float in the tank so they wouldn't dry out. What should I watch for if my cycle gets interupted from this?

a mini cycle... you did the right thing but some of the bacteria will have died off anyway. Where are you then?

You could invest in a Uninteruptable P{ower Supply or 2 so you can keep your tank running if the power goes down.

can you hold off getting the fish for a few days whilst you confirm the tank again? If not as Bubble says lots of testing to look for a mini cycle and be ready with the water changes. Ensure you've done a big change before getting the fish and don't feed them for the 2st 24 hours. Avoid putting the transport water into the tank (in the 30 min journey and 2 hour acclimatisation the tigers had got their water up to .25 or .5 ppm ammonia!).
