Power head pump for liver bearer tank

if i installed a power head or some kind of pump on my main 77 gallon tank and have another in my 20 i just bought....could i pump to and from the 20 to the 77 with hoses.... so the water is the same in both tanks for the guppies to be put in the 20 near pregnancy with no stress.... would that work???

what are you going to do if one pumps a little faster? or if one stops or clogs? could cause mucho problems, it could be done but think of a safe guard if these things occur.
