Has anyone purchased ground or powdered coconut shell and if so where did you souce it, think I need about !/2 to 1kg to cover an old ornament that I had given. I was going to use acrylic paint but the quantity and different colours would cost more than a new orament. I'v managed to find plenty in India, but all sold by the 1/2 tonne which is a bit excessive .
Is it possible to grind it down myself if so how?
Do you know of any good dark wood substutes?
Any other surgestions will be considered
