Okay so I've noticed alot of plants in black plastic pots... now I've seen people with these plants in their aquariums with the pot removed, and others with the pot still on them... which is better? I had one of them before and noticed getting the plant out of the pot was a pain in the arse because of the stupid foam stuff in there, I finally got the plant out, but I ripped like 8 out of 15 roots out... Anyways which is better? leaving the plant in the pot and just burring it with substrate? or removing the plant but being very carful?

I removed the pots from mine when I planted them. They can be a pain in the backside removing them but if you do it bit by bit, you shouldn't cause too much damage to the roots. Keeping them in the pots is a personal preference and I think some people find it easier to keep them in.
Another problem I found with potted plants is snails. I've lost count of the amount of times I've found a couple of them in there and on occasion eggs too.

I've tried warm water but the eggs are a nightmare to remove. I've found the only way is to actually go through the leaves and remove them by hand or actually remove the leaves on certain plants.
