I want to cover 750cm squared with sagittaria subulata and 250cm squared with echinodorus tenellus how many pots do you approximate would cover this area?

Yeop fairly sure I have a total tank area of 1252cm (squared) e.g. 25cmx45cm

:( the poll isn't updating so I can't see any results. says 2 votes but no results have changed from 0.

you get 4-6 decent sized plant in each pot (you need to divide them manually). You then plant these 2cm away from each other.
Does that help?
I think you will need more than 4. can you give the dimensions rather than surface area. Thanks

Well dimensions of the entire tank are 45 x 20 cm. I want the sagittaria subulata to be the borders for the sides and back then blend into the echinodorus tenellus leaving a small area at the front with clear sand in an approx crescent shape. The tank will be up for 2-3 months only so I want a lush coverage from these plants within a week or two of planting.

I have found 3 shops recommended by PFK which stock both of these plants and I am not sure which to buy from and how much. plants alive - Echinodorus, plants alive - Sagittaria, aquarium gardening - Echinodorus, aquarium gardening - Sagittaria, the green machine - Echinodorus and the green machine -Sagittaria. Which do you think would be the best deal, and the one you would go with?

ps my hands hurt now from all those html codes :(

TGM is by far the best out of all them, or if you have a local Maidenhead they stock Aquafleur which are half price but equally as good.
i would get aboutt 8-12pots for quick coverage.

Atm I am thinking of going with "aquarium gardening" for the plants and get a bunch of 25 stems and 2 pots of sagittaria, 25 stems and one pot of echinodorus and mix the two together when planting. It would save me quite a lot of money and any gaps my lfs says that they can get these plants in but their plant guy has been on holiday the past 2-3 weeks and I am tired of waiting. Nearest MA is miles away from me.
