Hello friends!
Ok so I have 3 new tanks. 1 is already cycled with 0 Ammo, 0 Nitrite, and HIGH Nitrate. I tried everything such as 50% water change, discontinue Excel and Flourish, feed less...and my last solution is using Pothos. I place a few stems into my filter and let them soak all the Nitrate into themself. My fish are doing great and happy. It took me exact 4 weeks to finish cycle for this tank.
Ok, here is the question. My 2 other tanks are already passed their 4 weeks cycle. And Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate are still very high! (I do fishless cycle, I give them beneficial baterias everyday with 78-80F and with lights off, also I add bacterias at night time) Keep in mind that I placed a few stems of Pothos in both tanks but straight into the water when they are NOT done with water cycle yet. Is it bad to do that? Is it why they take longer to cycle with Pothos in them?
The first tank was done with water cycle before I placed the Pothos into the filter media.
Anyone here has experiences with using Pothos and wanna share with newbies? Please show me so I can take the Pothos out if anything.
I have a 5 gallon(done cyle) with rocks and lots of plants.
My 6 gallon is cycling with rocks and driftwoods, filter has only sponge, no carbon, and a 3 gallon with a few small rocks, small filter with only Sponge, no carbon or anything. Both have no fish
Thank you in advance guys!
