Now am not gonna name anyone but I got some snails in the post but there was no water with them, just sat inside a nice safe package with cotton.

Keep in mind these are aquatic snails will they be dead due to the lack of water?

i was sent some assassin snails through the post, and they were just in wet cotton wool and they were fine, was the cotton damp/wet?

It was wet/damp yea. I just don't see any life at all in these guys.

Been in the tank for a good 4hours now. Am fairly sure I can see them in there snails and I've seen a few bubbles come out from the shell so am not sure.

That's a shame if they didn't survive.  When I received MTS's in the mail they had water in the bag and a small sprig of some kind of green twigs.

We shall soon see, Time will tell.

Nearly all snails (actually all the ones I can think of) can survive for a good few days out of water. It can take them a long time to get moving again though.

They should be fine; give them time

I had a couple of those snails, years ago. They lived in a goldfish bowl on top of the storage heater

I loved them to bits, but someone turned the heating up without telling me and cooked them :-(

Thank you Fluttermoth, I keep seeing small bubbles from the shell and they tend to tip over. Good sign I take it? I'll give them a few days to chillax.

Yes, good signs; I don't think they'd be moving if they were dead.

I don't know if there moving per say? But the shells just seem to tip over at random xD

I also see some shell decay, It might be due to my soft water D:

Just to put your mind at ease somewhat: sending them that way is common practice.
