Posting a Plec to another Member

sorry to bother u all but a Member wants My Plec as he has got to big for me i'm just wondering how u go about it as i know nothing about posting live fish

Things like do u just take it post office or do u have to take it somewhere else ?

u know stuipd things like that and just wanna know he will be safe in post as he is a nice and friendly plec and wouldn't wanna see anything happen to him

hes about 10" just incase that makes a different ?

Thinkin of posting him in a polystyrene boxe does same thing apply ? like fill it 25-35% full ? and that stuff

you need to bag him for sure
putting the bag in a polystyrene box is a good idea. Make sure you use express shipping and ship it on a monday

He should be fine for a day in a bag

You could get some ammo-lock and put it in the bag's water so the water doesn't get intoxicated with ammonia

ive never shipped anything larger than a letter requiring one stamp...

how do i ship fish???...i need all details

problem with large fish it that they will flail about...

any medium+ sized plec WILL split its bag and you'll end up at the other end with no water left (as poly boxes will leak water)

shipping will cost a bomb as a 10" fish will be in a box 18"x18"??
in 9" of water - that nearly 50l of water - thats 50kg! - a lot of shipping.

How far is it from you to them?

By the time you've paid to post it, it would be cheaper to get on a train and take it to him yourself.
