hi all, ive noticed lately that just before i have a fatality that the fish that dies usually is seen at the top of the tank and doesnt move much.
this time its a molly thats doing it. is this usual behaviour or could there be something wrong?

ammonia=0
nitrite=0
nitrate=10
ph=7.4

140l tank

thanks in advance

Any symtoms to go on.

Does the fish look pale, darker in colour.
Acitng listless and lethagic.
Gasping or laboured breathing.
Does the fish look skinny or bloated.
Can the fish maintain its balance in the water.
is the fish resting in places.
Any signs of excess mucas, darting, erratic swimming, flicking and rubbing.
What does it look like when the fish go to the toilet.
Is the fish still eating.
Is there enough aeration in the tank.

How many fish and which type.

hi again, i have a couple more things to report, the molly does look lathargic and seems to be hiding away in the corners of the tank or behind any filters. its colours are still as bright as the others and it doesnt seem to be distressed in any way with no obvious injuries.
it is a female molly and there is also a male in the tank, the female in question also looks very bloated but seems to come out when fed and then mixes well with the others. checked water quality and all seems fine there.

What do you feed the fish.

isolation isnt really an option as the wife wont let me have a second tank (no matter what its for) i feed all the tank on flake food and the odd cube of bloodworm. when i do feed them she comes out and mixes well. what do you think it could be? apart from staying on her own she doesnt look any different apart from the bloating, could she not be pregnant?

is it bloating or just that the fish looks fat.
If its pregnant the fish should just look fat not bloated.
is it possible to load a pic up of the sick fish.
Are scales sticking out.

Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Epson salts with bloating to help draw the fluids out.
Also feed some shelled peas.
Don't feed any other foods for aday.

she seems to be swimming around with the others now, there is no sign of any injury anywhere and i can see that she is going to the toilet now and it looks to be the same colour as all the others.

A pic might help.
