my kribensis today has bloated lost the majority of it's colour in it's belly and is breathing fast. Now the tank is fully cycled... Is dropsy contagious is there contagious dropsy and non-contagious Im looking out for scale protusion aswell I moved him to my PimaFix/MelaFix tank (my 75 gal is being treated still) and he started swimming and darting in short spurts. Any advice?? Could it be from a aneboric pocket in the sand tank has made him act like he was???

I just went to my tank and it has died and I do not know why......it had been healthy my tanks heater became unplugged yesterday accidently for a few hours I managed to plug it back in and it's been at a good temp for 12 or so hours so I really do not know whats happend....

He wouldnt of made it anyway, going pale is a sign of stress, blowning up can be a number of things from parasites, to bacteria infection, even constipation, but constipation dosn't make them labour breath but a bacterial infection can.
When temp fall fast it can cause swim bladder, whitespot, and columnaris.

Ok I suspect it may of been a bacterial infection or the like as he was previously in the tank that recieved a fungal attack so his immune system may of been lowered as the temp lowered and he became ill soon after

Sounds like he was already ill and the temp drop kicked it off faster.
R.I.P.
