Possible Worm Issue

Hi i have lost some guppies showing no signs of illness just a little on the lethargic side one i noticed had a red blood shot mid section and the others i noticed after they had past away some red streaks came up on the bodys.

I sure u have read that this is worms, so i have treated them with kussuri (spelling)

And i have also done regular water changes too.

If anyone else can advise please that would be great

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

How long did you use the med, Does it treat camallanous worms.
Have the fish gained weight.
What does it look like when they go the toilet.


Once you finished the worming med you are meant to back up with a bacterial med.

It sounds like septicemia to me.

Tank is 120 litres

Probably in excess of a 100+ guppies fry, juveniles, and adults.

Not sure on stats as i havent had the water checked for months, however its been up and running almost a year with regular water changes and maintenance. It also has heavy filteration.

The fish in question are more active since treatment and weight was never issue as i only suspected this due to recent symptoms never got as far as alot of weight loss.

I havent lost alot considering the amount in the tank, its only been 1 or 2 a week 3 at worst in this case i was putting it down to natural causes until i lost 3 in the same week.

Take a sample of your water to the lfs and ask them to write the readings down for you.

Wormer plus dosn't always work on camallanous worms.
You need this med.

You really need to be treating with anti internal bacteria med by interpet.

Ok thanks i have some of that i believe ill use it after a large water change, and ill order some of that wormer

Ok. You also need to run some fresh black carbon before you dose the other med.
