Hi,
I stupidly added 4 infant Panda Corydora's to my tank a couple of days ago. They looked in fine health and purchased from a reputable LFS so I took the risk instead of adding them to a nursery tank. I'm kicking myself for this now.
I noticed a small white mark on the very top of the dorsal fins on two of them. The mark is in exactly the same position on them and doesn't look like white spot. I assumed this was a marking on these fish as it seems coincidental that it would be the same size and in same place.
Anyway today I've also noticed a white spot on one of the pelvic fins on one of these two. This did look like ich.
I've removed all 4 corys and put them in a hospital tank for observation.
Has anyone heard of infant Corys having a small white mark on the tip of the dorsal fin (I can't find anything on Google)?
If it is white spot what's the chance of my other residents in my main tank now picking it up? I didn't empty the bag they came in into my tank.
I'm worried that if I do get it in my main tank I would have to remove my carbon and zeolite filter cartridges which would leave my tank uncycled. I'm currently replacing these cartridges with standard filter sponge but I've only replaced one so far.
I've tried to take some pics but it's difficult and as the spot / cory is so small. I'll try again tomorrow in better light.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
