I've had my 2 Black Moors since the end of September. I just recently upgraded my tank about 2, 3 weeks ago from a 10 gallon to a 20 gallon high tank. I have a 20 gallon filter and an air pump in the tank. Now my problem is that I have noticed my one fish acting strange. She doesn't necessarily act strange, she swims strange. She's very energetic and swims around like a healthy fish, but I've noticed a few things. She seems to float up to the top of the tank fairly quickly, almost like she can't stay down at the bottom. She doesn't swim sideways or lay at the bottom, she just tends to float towards the top more often. She swims normally otherwise, but when she tries to swim down her backside is almost straight up in the air. It might not be a big deal but I just wanted some information on what this might be. Let me know if you know anything about this

Thanks!

She may have a swimbladder problem. Try feeding some mushed de-shelled peas, this should fix her problem.

Are her scales sticking out at all?

No her scales aren't sticking out, not from what I've seen. The kind of peas we eat? Cooked or out of a can?

Thank you!

Yes, the peas we eat. If they are frozen or out of a can. Put them in some water, put them in the microwave for 20seconds, then pop them out of the shell, carefull they may be warm. You can wash tem in cool water to cool them down. After you pop them out of the shell mush them up a little and try feeding them to her.

Good Luck. :good:

That actually helped! I gave her some peas last night and followed all the directions you gave me. She was fine by the time I went to bed :)

Thank you!
