Hello. I just bought some new fish from Big Al's and one of my mollys appears to be pregnant. Very large belly. The other is a male and is very flat underneath. How do I know when she will give birth so I can put her in my fry container? Thank you!!

*note* no picture as of yet. She's moving too much

'Fry containers' or breeding traps are too small and stressful, and can cause the mother to miscarry; they're also too small to properly raise fry.

If you want some fry to survive, your best bet is to fill as much of the tank as you can with fine leaved plants or mosses ('elodea', cabomba and Java moss are great for this) to give them hiding ppaces (they'll eat the microorganisms onthe plants too).
