Hi guys,

I may be getting some new fish off loafy and bones but I need to know if it is going to cause problems in my tank if I do.

Firstly, I may be having two Johannii. One is a dominant male in THEIR tank and one is possibly a female. I already have two males myself (thought one was female but isn't!) one of which is, again a dominant in MY tank.

Secondly, I may be having a male Estherae (Red Zebra) who is also dominant in THEIR tank. Once again, I already have a dominant male Zebra in MY tank aswell.

Will adding more males, especially dominant ones, cause too much aggression or will it actually reduce aggression? My initial thought is that dominant males of the same species in one tank is gonna cause murder but I would be grateful for confirmation.

Also may be taking two male Socolofi. Any problems with adding these?

Thanks all.

Look forward to hearing your views.

The dominant males (Esthera and Johanni) would be a risk but i wouldn't rule it out. I think its one of those things you have to try and see what happens, thats what i would do.

If you dont try, you'll never know! :D

Socofili are a bit more relaxed in my experience, I don't see a problem with them in your current mix.
