I changed my Betta's water tonight, then watched him some while I was I was on the computer. I noticed a nice, big (looks big on him; not bigger than a grain of salt/sugar) white spot on one of his pectoral fins
<sigh> Haven't seen it there before, don't see any other spots on him. I've been watching him for awhile, hoping that it's just something that got stuck on him from the stir-up of the gravel during cleaning, but so far it's still there
I just want to pick off that little white spot! I'm guessing this is ich. Anyone agree/disagree?
If it is ich I'm wondering about treatment specifics. I have him in a dual Betta hex (he'll be moved to a one gallon when I have one available). Do I just add some ich treatment and do daily 100% water changes? His tank should probably be a bit warmer than it is, but right now I can't really do anything about that. Like I said above, he'll get moved to a bigger tank when I have one available. One is serving as a holding tank for a male Platty (isn't working to have him in either of my other tanks) and the other as a "pregnant" shrimp house.
Questions, comments, etc. all welcome. Oh yeah, the Betta is acting just fine. Doesn't act sick at all.
