So I think two of my fish have ich...The two creamsicle mollies in there appear to have ich. I am fairly new to aquariums and don't know what to do. I would really appreciate some help. I did a water change about a week ago and tested the chemical levels a few days ago and they seem to be fine(Ammonia and Nitrite at 0). I heard to increase the temperature so I did by about 4 degrees(it was at 78, now its at about 82) but I don't know what else to do. I can try to snag a pic if you want. It does not appear to be all over. I see some spots on one of them and only 2 on the other one. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are sure it is Ich, you need to turn the heater up further to at least 84F as well as create more rippling at the water surface, so that you increase the oxygen saturation (which will have a marked lower potential than typical 75F temperatures)...

Add a powerhead or airstone if possible, if not lower the water level so that the existing setup creates more splash.

Whitespot will look like the fish has been sprinkled in salt. Or tiny white greyish spots the size of a grain of salt.

When treating for whitespot make sure you can use the full dose of med with the fish you keep.
With sensitive fish you have to half dose if it says so in the instructions.
Increase aeration. As the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
Remove black carbon from filter if you use it.
Raise temp to 30.

Also, plan to do the treatments and hold the heat up for 2 weeks. Ich goes through several cycles and you will need to be consistent for 2 weeks minimum. I used a medication from the pet store that was malachite green/formalin mixture that worked well for me. Good luck.

My filters are prepackaged with the carbon in the filter so what should I do?

Also I've raised the water temperature a bit more, it is at about 84 degrees now and i can see about 3/4 inch of air below the plastic lining/thing at the top of the aquarium that the hood rests on to increase the amount of oxygen in the water.

You will have to remove the black carbon from the filter.
If you are insure on how to do it with your filter, start a thread in tropical discussion.
Good Luck.
