one of my male guppy frys has a very very light red colour on the bottom tip of its tail i am wondering if this could be or lead to any problems

How many gallons is the tank please?
How many fish and which type?
Can you please post your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Does the red edging to tail look fluffy like cotton wool,or just a blood red edging.
Check the fins also for red streaking.

1) 28L
2) ammonia and nitrite 0ppm and nitrate 5.0ppm
3) theres no fluthy look to it just a very light red colour on it as if the reflection of my red gravel is on it

Can you isolate the fish as you will need to use a bacterial medication for finrot.

Finrot
Symptoms:

Fish may have deteriorating fins, often with red or white edges. Secondary Fungal infections often occur.

Cause:

Bacterial infection caused by Aeromonas and/or Pseudomonas bacteria often precipitated by poor water quality, low water temperatures, or a combination of both.

Treatment:

You will first want to determine the specific cause of the illness, so check your waters quality Ammonia, Nitrite, pH, and Nitrate levels as well as the temperature. Be sure to provide optimal water conditions and the correct water temperature for the species of fish you are keeping. Treat with Kanacyn, Tetracycline, Furacyn, Nitrofura-G or Penicillin. Basically, you want an antibiotic specific for Aeromonas and Pseudomonas bacteria. The use of a medicated food is also wise. Treat the fish in isolation (i.e., quarantine tank) if only one fish is sick. If not, the whole tank should be treated. In either case, water conditions must be improved and proper temperature maintained for all fish. Adding salt to the water may be helpful.

The success rate for treating Fin Rot is good providing the illness is caught early and water conditions are kept optimal. Left untreated this infection can be deadly. Early treatment is essential! Once treated, fin tissue lost to this illness will grow back providing the fin rays and/or fin bases have not been damaged.

Oh related to the fin rot treatment my betta fish had some fin rot from when I got them at the store I noticed after adding some aquarium salt. Took about 2 weeks and his fins were completely healed and actually had a bit of new growth.

Im not realy sure if it has finrot. it just has a very light red at the bottom bit of the tail and there isnt any roting

Red edging to tail can be finrot. The red area will eventually start to rot the bottom of the fin away.

Is it eating and if it is what color is the poop? Is the fin just discolored or changing shape? How is it swimming? How do its gills look?

Edit: also does it have any spots or any discoloration aside from the fin?

Either way, you need to put the fish in its own tank, fin rot can spread.

If it is eating or not and has normal poop, spots or no spots, good swimming and red or normal gills I would give it a malachite green bath.

I often use "quick fix" it contains malachite green and formalin so DO NOT use it in the main tank. Get a 5g with 5g of tank water, add 75 drops of Quick fix and put an air stone in the bucket. Add the fish and leave him in there for 5 min. Repeat every other day if needed.

If it is eating and has white/clear poop follow up the bath with medicated flake and continue to feed the medicated flake 1 week after symptoms have passed. Flake with Kanamycin Sulfate, Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride (recomended), Neomycin Sulfate, or Nitrofurazone are good choices. Feed exclusively.

Fish can have a bad reaction to anti fungus and finrot medication. So I would only half dose at first to see how the fish handle the medication.
Myxazin by waterlife quite a good medication for finrot.

ive put it in a different place and used finrot treatment hope this helps. gregswimm the fish doesnt have these symtoms b the way

Good Luck.
