i think one of my fish might have dropsy. she's had it for about 2 months now.

i've read that i should isolate her and raise the temp to 86F. is this recommended for subtropical fish like the rosy barb? what effect does boosting the temp have on the fish?

also, how long can i give her daily epsom salt baths?

last but not least, can i treat with kanamycin for more than 3 doses (instructions say up to 3 doses)?

I think turning the temp up is to help them go to the toilet.
Epson salt baths not sure on how many you do aday.
With salt you start off by doing a bath for up to 10 minutes then gradually build them up to half an hour.
If the fish start to act wierd and start turning upside down remove the fish straight away from the bath.

A link to salt.
