Population Suggestions

so i am looking to fill my tank up here pretty soon..i am working on new stand and hood as well as going to be planting the tank. does anyone have any suggestions as to what to populate the tank with? something that will stay out a swim, but also very visually appealing. they need to also get along with my other mates.

How about silver dollars? Don't have any personal experience with them, but they look suitable enough for your tank;

im into exotic looking fish. like my striped raphael catfish, or black ghost knife. although both of these fish are nocturnal and hiders...so i dont get to see my knife but once a week, and the raphael at feeding time ...he knows when its time to eat!...but i want some nice more or less visually appealing but will also stay out and swim around.
