Pop Eye

I have a cichlid who has pop eye. I wasn't going to treat the entire tank and at first he wouldn't let me catch him, so I left him to see if he'd get better. He only got worse. After a couple of months, he was slow enough, and probably blind enough, where I could catch him. In the hospital tank I treated with Maricyn and Maricyn Two and he hasn't gotten any better. This was a week ago. But he's not getting any worse either. And he does seem to be blind as he's bumping into everything, though his other eye looks ok, though it did start bulging a little before I removed him from the main tank. He also hasn't eaten anything for weeks. Should I just destroy him or just let it go and hope for the best?

The fish died over night. Not surprising as he wasn't getting any better. At least it's over.
