I bought a female platy(Spot), found out she was prego, two days later I bought another (Stripe) to keep the male (Bitsy) from harrassing Spot too much. Found out the Stripe was pregnant too!, this was like two almost three weeks ago! no fry yet! Spot is skinnier agian, but Stipe looks like she is going to explode! I thought the gestation period was only 3 weeks?! maybe the fry were eaten when I wasn't looking? lol.

Three+ weeks at temps around 80 F. Lower at lower temps. the skinnier fish probably dropped a few fry, if not the entire batch.

What other fish do you have in the tank? Chances are the fry were eaten.

it can go from 3 weeks up to 5 weeks I've heard...

does your male follow the female constantly nipping at its @$$? its a chance he ate them right when they dropped
