Hi,

We have a female guppy who gave birth about a week and a half ago, she seemed totally fine, until today. When we woke up, she was laying on her side at the the bottom of the tank and twitching. She can't really swim. We've put her in the little isolation tank but she really doesn't look well. It looks like she has had a stroke, if that's possible, or a fit. We just wondered if any one knew what had caused this and whether it would be kinder to kill her :( Thanx

Hi and welcome to the forum :)
How is her weight at the moment? Have you tested the tank for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates at all? Does the isolation tank she is in have heating or filtration at all?

She died later that day. She had just had some babies so had lost a lot of weight but appeared to be eating ok. She had the fry about a week earlier and was OK. Then that morning found her on the bottom looking like she was having a fit

Sorry bless her R.I.P.
