I've had my Powder Blue Gourami's for about 2-3 months now. They've always been very healthy, up until now. I have a male and a female and my female Gourami has slowly developed a sore which looks like something has taken a chunk out of her next to her fin. She then very quickly developed a few more sores. As soon as I noticed the first sore I treated the tank with Anti Internal Bacteria, however it didn't help. Now she is so weak that she stuck to the filter but is still just about alive. I don't know what else to do. I don't want to add any more anti internal bacteria yet as I heard that if you add too much you can cause other problems for the fish. So will somebody please tell me what to do! And quickly! The Gourami's are our favourite fish in the tank and we really don't want to lose them, however we don't want to risk this infection or disease spreading to our other fish. Any help or advice from more experienced people than myself would be much appreciated! :p By the way, I'm new to the forum :p Hi to all the other fish lovers out there!! lol

Oh no. I'm really sorry to hear that. That's terrible :rip:

I'm new too so can't help, but I am sure someone will advise how to treat the rest of your fish in case they get ill.

Good Luck ;)

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Sores can be bacerial and they can soon devolope into a open hole.
Do the sores have a white edging to them.
Also they can be caused by parasites.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.

I had fish with sores some years back lost three, the internal bacteria med by interpet never did a thing even using at double dose.
You can use double dose in issolation.

Sores on dwarf gourami can be gourami plague.

R.I.P.
