I have moved my firmouth to a hospital tank, he has been sitting on the bottom for almost 7 days.
I removed him from hiis home tank as he was being bullied by my other firemouth.
i treated him for 4 days with king british revitalising tonic and was wondering if melafix would help? I havent seen him eat for the last 7 days:(
I am not sure of what i can do next to help him. does anyone have any advice please

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Does he look darker in colour or pale.
Can he maintain balance in the water,
Does he rest on plant or ornaments in the tank.
Does he lean to onside.
Does he look skinny or bloated.
Hows the fish breathing.

i moved him from a 300 ltr tank to a 86 ltr hospital tank.
while he was being attacked by the other firemouth in the big tank he was not swimming well, which seemed to me he was losing the battle.
since putting him in the hospital tank he has just sat on the bottom for 7 days moving along but not swimming, i am sure he is not eating at all.
his fins are a little frayed but he looks ok, i have tried a revitalising tonic which is made up of salts but it hasnt helped at all.
I will not be putting him back into the main tank as it is obvious the two firemouths are male and fighting for who is boss.
how long can he go without eating? he is not bloated or looking thin and his breathing seems fine. i am confused at what is his ailment and what i can do to help him, thankyou for advice

I would switch to an internal bacteria med.
Tonic meds are a waste of money.
