Last week I bought 2 beautiful blue rams that appeared to be healthy. yesterday one of them was lying dead on the bottom of the tank, and had lost a lot of colour.it looked like he had a kinda white slime covering him. this morning my remaining blue ram is lying close to the bottom of the tank and not moving around much. he looks ok, but when i put food in he didnt seem all that interested. i dont want to lose another fish, does anyone kno whats wrong?

When i got my first ram, it just died the next day.

My current two though, were very inactive for the first week. They just stayed at the bottom, and ran as soon as they saw me. Didn't eat either, got me real worried. Now they are ok though. As long as the surviving one isnt showing signs of illness like heavy breathing, etc, it should be ok. Just give them time to settle down as they take quite some time to adapt to a new tank.

P.T.

yep same here.

i bought 2 and both dead the next day, water readings perfect as well.

i have heard they need "soft" water and mine is hard as it gets so i put it down to that. hope it helps.
