Hi Guys

I'd put a new male fighting fish in my tank just two das ago now he's floating at he very topof the tank not looking to great

He wa fighting a lot with my other fish last nig and nowhas wo pouchy looking grey bitson his side.

They look something like blisters on his face and his side.

What should I do?

Aaaargh robert

what fish are in with him??
It sounds like he needs to be removed from that tank.....do you have a spare, or something you can section part of the current tank off with?
Do you have any pictures?

Put him in a tank on his own.

He needs rest and recooperation.

If you could post pictures of injuries/infection/disease that might help to provide a prognosis and treatment for him.

What fish was he in beside?

jen

Right

I've put him into a bowl all on his own with some of the tank water

He's in with honey Gouramis, two angels (Which he was scrapping with a lot yesterday) some blue red tetras and a red fin shark.

All the rest of the fish are in perfect health

You can see on the pic below there is a big pouchy blistered bit round his face on the right hand side as you look at it.

Theres two along his side to.

Cheers

From what I have been told on here gourami and betta don't get along as they are both antabanoids (and both highly territorial) because i wanted to get a gourami to add with my betta who is in a community tank, but i didn't after hearing that.....it sounds also like the angels aren't a good mix either, and i've been told sharks can also be aggressive.
I think your betta will definately need a permanent new home away from the other fish.
Can you get a clearer side on view of the betta?
It will help the people here recognise illness signs and be able to advise you best on what treatment to use for him :)
