I still don't understand why jumping out of her tank would cause her fins to rott away

I'm looking for melafix or bettamax everywhere but I can't seem to find any. I really need to go to petco or petsmart but those are both a half our drive in opposite directions and I can't get a ride.

I used a little kanacyn because that's all I have but I don't think that would help because it's not that kind of a problem.

She jumped...Sorry to say to say this But sometimes there fins or Crowns Never grow back my Female CT jumped out like 3 months ago..First she had Velvet around the bruce she got.Then got ICH...then lastly she got Fin-Rot....Im afaraid theres a word ooo Yeah The Tail CollapseShe will have CT Genetics and could still breed her but she just wont show it.. Good Luck With her take really good care of her and Put a Top on Ur Tank.. Try Betta-Max that worked for me to get the fin-rot out..

Wal-mart doesn't sell bettamax. At least not around here...

I went to the lfs searching for bettamax and guess what? Just like every other store I've been to, they don't have any...

I'm buying melafix tonight. maybe that will do something. And there was a lid on the tank, but there is a gap where the light goes. I took the light off to see if I could get it working (still no luck) and I came back and poof, she was gone... But now it's fully covered lol. But I've had some trouble with ripped fins and I think some bettamax in all the tanks would be a good thing to do right now. I just gotta find some

Edit: Since is a divided tank and she's not the last fish in there. When she flopped away to the right, I'm surprised she didn't land in another betta's compartment. Weird...

Aw, Bummer Jen. I hope your female comes out okay. Same thing happend to one of my females Jen. She jumped out couple days later came down with fin rot. Her fins grew back, but it wasnt the same. Good luck Jen. Also, where you @ ? Get your butt back into chat. I miss ya
