 Spent the day out running errands and came home to my little Blue betta girl missing a chunk of her fin. Her tank mate, another female betta whom has gotten along with her fine since I got them, went on a nipping rampage and took a chunk of Blues bottom fin off. Any suggestions on how to help Blue heal? Of course I separated her from the other betta. I remembered someone mentioning something called Melaflex..(<-spelling?) or aquarium salt..
Will her fin grow back or just heal..Any advice gladly appreciated!

A little bit of aquarium salt won't hurt. It's not needed though. Just try to keep her water clean and she should heal up just fine. Their fins do grow back.
Did the tank you had the females in have alot of hiding spots? You need alot of caves and plants and whatnot so the females getting chased will have places they can go and hide.
It's also not recommended to only have 2 females together since if there is one dominant one, she only has the 1 other to terrorize. It's good that you split them up. I don't think I'd put anything in with the one that nipped.

Anywho... at least you found your girl when you did! It could've been alot worse than a nipped fin ya know?

definitely.

if the nip is really bad, you could use melafix to speed up the process. ... most of the time the fins will heal with clean water and regular maintenance.
