im sure ive read somewhere that this means something or is a sypmtom of something. but when a fish (namely a plec) swims about with a log trail of poop following him for several days, whats wrong?

What colour is the poo, bad diet and over feeding.

sort of a cream color. he seems active enough, always cleaning the entire way around the glass and some ornaments (namely a rubber anenome and the thermometer ) he usually eats some of the cucumber slices i put in for my loaches too. ive been waiting on some algae wafers being delivered but they havent arrived yet.

Plecs spend most of their time defaecating, at least all ours seem to. The colour often depends on the food, if we give our panaque a treat of cucumber a few days on the trot it goes more white and see through.

I would say that seeing a pleco poo is far from anything to worry about.
