Pool Table

Can an old Pool Table hold a couple 29g's? Im not sure as to how strong they are built.

What's the pool table made out of, is it flimsy.

None of the tables I've seen would be able to hold the weight for long if at all. Pool/Billard tables are meant to play with balls that don't weigh more than 10 pounds all grouped together let alone a few 100 pounds centralized in one location.

Are you talking about a full sized slate bed pool table?

IF your talking about a slate pool table, then I think it's safe to say it can hold a few tanks.

Yeah, a well built pool table will hold a tremendous weight, as I know, danced on top of one with about 10 other people

I suppose it depends on the kind of table. Like I said though, none of the oines I've seen would support a fish tank for a long period of time. People on them sure, but not sitting on them for months or years.

I agree.

I was standing on one with about 12 people at a bar. When the game we were watching ended, people were jumping up and down on it. The table didn't move at all.

I agree, these tables are usually well made so 1 or 2 tanks on there should be fine.

We store on out tool boxes on mine and they are very very heavy

Agreed, every pool table I've ever seen has been really strong. The one at the Hard Rock Cafe in Toronto was extremely stable. As when I was there on a trip, there were like.. 15 of us dancing on it during dinner lol. Though I was dancing on the bar, not the pool table..

I don't see why it couldn't hold a couple tanks. Where's the table? Just fill the tanks one by one with water. You hear a creaking, you stop and empty the tanks. Voila, a simple test involving no major leakage!

well, you can take the risk, remember that some tables are kinda hollow with their tunnels and stuff for the ball return

The tables with tunnels aren't standard pool tables... I won't play on those unless I HAVE to, or all other tables are full....

Yea, total waste of a pool table IMO. Unless you own a pool hall or something.

With the amount of time he spends on TFF and MSN, there's probably no time for pool!

That, and I just doubt he can play that well.
