hi there could anyone tell me if this is the pool filter sand that some fish keepers use, as i thought it was supposed to be more white than that unless i have the wrong thing here. thanks for looking anyway, and for any help that comes my way.

Looks golden in colour to me never saw it in whitish colour.
The grain size is more important 3mm is best for a planted aquarium.

thanks for the quick reply i will ask what size the sand is also any idea where i'de be able to buy laterite from?? i went to a garden center the other day but could not find any
