Can you use pond treatments for tropical tanks? Are there any to steer clear of, or any that can definitely be used? I've noticed that the local £2 shop is selling big bottles of pond treatments, and wondered if they were a bargain or something to avoid. I'll be checking them out later to see exactly what they are, but thought I'd give you lot a heads up ust in case this is a good do. :good:

As far as I know you can use pond treatments for indoor aquariums. Saves a lot on cost as well.

Yes they are concentrated but if you have large tanks then you should be able to work out the amount.

I use pond dechlor. If they are more concentrated, you use less, hence making one bottle last longer. Also if the treatments are for disease, then it should work the same in a pond as in a tank, though I've never used pond disease treatments.

I always use pond treatments for my tanks
in particular acriflavin and FMG by NTlabs
I also use pond melafix as it is 5 times stronger than melafix I use one fith the amount
for roughly the same cost, thus saving a fortune

Thanks all of you. :good:

Well I didn't get a hane to look at them today - I took the kids out to spend their WHSmith vouchers and by the time they'd made their minds up it was time to come home.

I will report back when I know what they are! :good:
