Fish Crazy
Hi.
I now have new pond up and running.
Its a square design made from breezeblocks and a rubber liner.
Ive bought a pond sump pump to try and rig up an overflow for the pond but the pump is rather "hit or miss".
It has a legnth of lead from the pump housing and on the end is a float with a ballbearing inside.
When the water gets to a certain level, the ball bearing in the float makes an electrical contact and it begins to pump water.
My problem is,the pump begins to work between very big levels.
E.G. sometimes it begins pumping when the water level is about 6 inches from the top of pond, and other times a bout 2 inches from the top.
What i could really do with is something like a toilet cistern float/arm/valve to try and make the water level more precise...(hope ive explained this ok).
Any ideas please?
