so i have this pond outside it's not for fish but it's probably big enough and ill add sponge filter and air pump and theirs this big fountain in the middle I'll take out. do you guys think this will work.

how cold does it get in winter in brisbane?
If it does not get really cold and no sudden freezes, you could make some permanent livebearer pools
yeah, in winter at night it can get down to 6 degrees but i have a heater i have this pond in my backyard it has something in the middle but I'm taking it out and changing the whole set up i don't have a picture on this laptop ill post one soon. i think it's about 15 gallons without the thing in the middle it was used for an old waterfall.

It could work out really well
make sure when it is cold to insulate the tank more so the heater is more efficient

what's that weed called? it looks really pretty lol
anyway i reccomend removing the substrate, and only putting part of it back in . I also reccomend getting floater plants like duckweed and water lettuce. not sure if water hyacinth can fit but if it can livebearers love it

yeah, I've removed everything it's all clean now and I'm going to fill it up on the weekend and take the thing out of the middle and i have heaps of plants i have this floating plant that looks like duckweed but bigger I'll put that in i have another floating plant that can be planted or floated and then i have some java moss ill just put them all in anyway. and when i set up the air pump and sponge filter where should i put it because if it rains it might get wet.

i have a little umbrella for my pond...
i reccomend putting the filter near the side so there isnt a lot of tubing

and do guppy's get a too much sun ill probably move some plants behind the pond and if theirs like abit of sun going onto it will that be fine i just don't want the pump to get wet from rain.
