i was wondering if i could use a pond filter in an aquarium. they are alot cheaper with more GPH so why not?

there's no reason why not. You might have to jury rig a way to connect it to a filter though; most only have a small sponge prefilter, mainly to stop them getting blocked, which wouldn't give adequate biofiltration for the larger stocking in tanks.

I actually used a pond filter to filter my turtle tank, I put the pump inside a plastic box with holes in it, then I added media inside the box, and drilled a hole to run my tube!! You could prob use a 2 liter bottle too. Just be creative!! :hyper:

just depends on how big the tank is TBH. If you put a pond filter in a 10 litre then you willl find yourself in deep dodo. I would only ever put them in an aquarium of 1000 litres plus. And they take in a lot of water when they start too.
