Well I have finnally got around to getting the sump running on the tank and just mixing up the salt water in there now. The return pump is really loud though as it is vibrating against the glass.

I was wondering if polystyrene is reef safe? If it is I can get a block to go under the pump to dampen the vibrations.

If its not what also could I use to stop the pump vibrating?

Actually thats a really good idea. Never thought of that but some foam filter media would work great.

Thanks :)

Polystyrene is reef safe. It's want the importers and TMC use to get sponges and hard corals to the LFS in one piece :good:

I use Juwel Filter sponge
