I have been asked to post some of my fry but have no idea where to get hold of polystyrene boxes. Does anyone know a supplier that I can contact?

Many thanks

not sure of suppliers per se but ask your own LFS. they should be able to point you in the right direction, if not provide you with boxes themselves.

how many are you posting out?

The poly boxes we have are from about 12" cube upto 24x18x18 - not ideal for a small shipment.

It might be a regular thing if I can find the right size boxes. Most people only want a couple of fish and the only boxes I can get hold of are the fairly big ones from the LFS which are around 24 inches square.

Sorry to hijack, but by the way : :bday: for your 14th year OohFeeshy!

at the lfs I work in we sell the poly boxes to anyone who wants them @£2.50 each. they come in different sizes, depending on the shipments of fish we get.

This is going to sound rather gorey. I keep Killifish, of which, I send fish around the globe. Having said that, the boxes I use I obtained from the local hospital. (polystyrene) used for transporting transplant organs to and from hospitals. ( I have a friend who works there and he gets them for me form time to time) The internal dims are 10"x10"x10" roughly and a wall thickness of 1 and a half inches.
These boxes are excellent mailing containers.
I'm expecting some feedback on this one.
