Plzzzzz Help I Feel So Guilty

helpppppppppppp my fish have fin rot and white spot i have 6neon tetras and 5 glowlight tetras one of my neons has completly lost its colour and the rest of them their fins are fraying and some look like they have lost their fins all together and i just got home today to find that the glowlights and a few neons have whitespots on them argh!!!!!!!!! whats goin on the aquarium shop have tested my water and its fine i no i no big slap on wrists for me for not buying a test kit but im out 1st thing in morning to get one i trusted my aquarium shop an they have told me absolute bolloks they said i didnt need a testing kit or often water changes etccc i got the fish a week ago i trusted them as they specialise in fish its not a shop like p@h, anyway what do i do can i take the fish back? can i cure them? will thier fins grow back? i feel so guilty that they are so ill some are missing eyes now tooo plzzz help p.s i have jus done a 40% water change in the hope this might help a little

Sorry, how long has the tank been set up, sounds like it hasn' cycled plus tetra are not hardy enough to cycle a tank with a they need good water quality.
The neon has probably gone pale due to stress, there fins sound bad they have finrot which is common iwth whitespot, sadly if they have lost most of there fins they are in a very bad way, plus losing the eyes can be due to bad water quality, or popeye did there eyes bulge out before they lost them.

no i just came home one day and eyes where gone i asked the shop where i got the fish about cycling he said their was no need to i aslo asked about getting "hardy fish" to cycle with he said no need an pointed me in direction of the tetras told me these would be good to start of with i genuinlly thought he cared and knew what he was talking about else i wouldn have bought the fish yes my tank is new it had been set up just over a week before i got the fish what do i do do i take them all back and complain about the info they gave me? i cant believe they sell fish knowing they will die. i feel so bad i never intended to hurt the fish i just trusted the information i was given from a well respected aquarium shop or how can i help them?

He's has given you terrible advice, to be honest there not going to make it, they sound in a very bad way, plus if the cycle hasn't hardly started and they are ill already, well things are only going to get worse.Are you treating the tank for the whitespot, yes i would make him refund the money for terrible advice then he might think next time before he does it again.

i only noticed the white spot tonight so what do you think i should do take them back in the morning or go in the morning and buy the white spot treatment and tell them then?

At least they stand a chance with you so i would get the whitespot med, plus some melafix and a bacterial med just in case, as he dosn't care about the fish so he will probably just destroy them. Good luck and i will leave you a link to whitespot.
